Your faculty member is applying to the Council of Dee Fellows for a teaching grant. Please prepare a letter of support for your faculty member’s application and upload it here. Your letter will be regarded as confidential.
Letters must be submitted the second Friday in February each year in order for the file to be considered complete.
Please address the following concerns in your letter:
- Your overall assessment of the proposal.
- Statement concerning the applicant’s record and standing as a teacher, including a description of the evidence on which the statement is based. In the case of career-line or visiting faculty, please specify how long the applicant is expected to be affiliated with the university.
- If the proposal involves a new course or courses, a statement indicating the likelihood of the course(s) being approved by the necessary departmental and/or college committees, and the probability that a successful pilot offering would lead to the inclusion of the course(s) in the regular curriculum.
- Please provide a statement of support for the project—including whether or not the department/school can commit additional funds to support the project, should additional funds (beyond what might be awarded by a Dee Grant) are needed.
