Title: Revisiting Asian Civilizations
This project consists of inviting five senior scholars of Asia to conduct a series of master classes. The classes will target and help revamp the Department of History and Asian Studies core civilization sequence, History 1210 and 1220, premodern and modern Asian Civilizations. The scholars will come primarily from History, and specialize in either the premodern or modern eras of China, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, and South Asia.
